After a hurried afternoon nap, Lucy got to the airport with no problem, while Sean on the other hand left the tickets with our ride and had to sprint through the airport traffic to catch the car containing said tickets. But soon enough we were waiting in line with Lucy watching over our luggage.
She apparently got a kick out of how much we packed. We were impressed that we got 200 lbs. in 4 suitcases to live on for a month!
Lucy of course got the window seat and, of course, never once looked out the window.
Lucy did great on the plane. A little crying never hurt anyone, and she even managed a short nap.
And lastly, we couldn't resist taking a picture of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (er, diamond). If you are unfamiliar, that is the title of a Beatles song that we sing to Lucy, and as of two days ago, a song on our new Beatles record (thanks Hunt's)
After an easy cab ride, we arrived at our new home in Morningside Heights, Manhattan, New York, New York!

So-- Jake came into the bedroom and said, "There's a picture of Lucy on an airplane with Lindsey's engagement ring... get it?!"
And I said, "Are they crazy?! Lucy's gonna drop that thing and they'll never be able to find it!"
So, never fear, McCanns-- I may not be clever, but I'm always lookin' out for you.
